We had a fun trip to Utah for Thanksgiving! We got to see Grandma Bagley and Uncle Charles the day we arrived. Uncle Charles even blew the leaves in Grandma's yard into a big pile for the girls to play in---they l*o*v*e*d it. Then we spent a week at Greema and PopPop's house. Aunt GinGin was there too, and Uncle Cody and Aunt Dottie Jo came for Thanksgiving Day. We had fun playing games, seeing the cows, playing with the cats, and relaxing. Friday night we went to the Light Parade in Delta and the girls got to see Santa and Mrs Claus. THAT made their day.
We flew in last night, and just as we were standing up to get off the plane Kaydee handed Shane a tooth. It had been loose for a couple of weeks, and she finally played with it enough to get it out. She told me that she didn't believe in the tooth fairy because "fairies aren't real." But after finding some money under her pillow this morning she's suddenly a believer. :-)
Funnies from our trip:
---I told Kaydee that she couldn't get up until the clock said "7". Well....she woke up Aunt GinGin bright and early the first morning. At 3:07: "Mommy said I could get up when the clock said '7'".....Aunt GinGin quickly explained that the 7 needed to come at the BEGINNING of the numbers.
--Kaydee and Abby put on a play about the pilgrims. (I have the video if you're interested.) At one point Abby (who played the part of the half naked Indian) was distracted by the toys and Kaydee moaned, "I just don't know how the show must go on without the Indian!"
--Abby found some chapstick in the drawer and carried around all week calling it her "Yip-Stick" (lip stick)
There are more pictures in the November Album. :-)
Preparing for our flight home:

We arrived early for Sacrament Meeting as instructed.
We sat down & waited.
President Joyner stood up to take care of Stake Business and made The Announcement: The Winder Ward was to be split.
There was the Map on the big screen.
There was a big, red line separating my ward family: half remained in the Winder Ward, the other half---my side of the line--would become the new Ft Yargo Ward.
We stood up to sustain a new bishopric as a new ward.
We looked around to see what faces we would continue to see each Sunday.
As Primary President, I immediatley thought about Primary: “Jenn(First Counselor) is in my ward…..Lora (Secretary)is in my ward….Jamie (Second Counselor) and Liz (Chorister) are NOT in my ward…but I am ‘prepared’ for that…I knew there was a possibility we wouldn’t be in the same ward…it will be okay….” I was sad about leaving a bishop I love. I was sad about some of the primary children who will no longer be in my ward. I went to Primary and business went on as usual…we briefly discussed next Sunday….I told Jenn it would be fine, we’d work it out. Jaime Waxter asked me how things would be next Sunday. I told her I wasn’t worried about it. It would all work out.
10pm last night. I decided that I’d look at the new ward list and get a few ideas for subs on Sunday (we lost several teachers). Jenn is doing Sharing Time; I told her I’d cover singing time. I looked over the list. I looked at it again. The light bulb turned on. Or off, depending on how you want to look at it.
Suddenly I couldn’t breathe. What was I thinking? It is NOT going to be okay. I felt like my left arm had been ripped off my body. I love and depend on Jenn and Jamie so much—they are my right and left arms. How can I function without my left arm? And Liz has been so awesome and dependable and is a great friend on top of that….
So I did what anyone would do.
I freaked out. I cried all night long. I’m still crying. I know Jamie feels like she is being “left behind” while the rest of our presidency is moved to the “other ward.” But our presidency was truly inspired. We have worked together so well and now a cog to our wheel is missing. There’s a chance I won’t be kept as Primary President in this new ward….that would make things a little better….give me less to worry about. Because I don’t know how I can find anyone who is as incredible as Jamie to complitment my other awesome half Jenn.
I know it will be okay in the end. I still have Jenn and Lora. But in the mean time….I’m freaking out.

"This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween! "
Sorry. I'm listening to Halloween tunes and this song from Nightmare Before Christmas just happens to be playing.....
Halloween festivities have officially begun. Last night was Trunk or Treat at church. Both Kaydee and Abby dressed up as dogs--these costumes are old as dirt. Okay, not that old, but the one Kaydee is wearing I wore in a road show back in the day. My mom made both of the costumes---she's much more talented than I am in that department!! Anyway, they both had fun parading around with the many goblins, princesses, monsters, and super heros in attendance. And Abby was thrilled with the idea that people gave her candy. Nothing brightens that child's day like some good chocolate. Or lolly pops.....she's really not picky when it comes to sugar. And Kaydee had fun "showing her the ropes" of how Trunk or Treat was done.
Today was the costume parade during Story Hour at the library. Because Abby's costume was too big it drug in the dirt, and then she got lolly pop slobber all over it, so we raided Kaydee's closet and she went as Snow White.
Now we're gearing up for trick or treating on Saturday.....more pictures to follow. (Costume pictures in October Gallery)

We decided to go up to Washington Farms and do the corn maze & get pumpkins last Friday. It was lots of fun, but too stinkin' hot!! Isn't it supposed to be fall? I guess Georgia didn't get that message yet---it was a blazing 90 degrees (at 5pm) when we went traipsing off through the corn. Both girls were dripping with sweat by the time we wandered back into the open. But they had fun--we even let Kaydee lead the way and she did a pretty good job. Kaydee enjoyed it more than Abby--Abby wanted to "Go home" for the last half of our adventure. But she hung in there and walked to the end.
Then we went to take pictures and get pumpkins.....and realized I should have taken the pictures before the corn maze sweat-fest. Oh well---lesson learned. We got some cute pictures regardless. And the girls picked out their own pumpkins: The rule was they had to carry it to the truck. Abby picked a pie pumpkin (she was SO excited when she found her "perfect pumpkin"). Kaydee wanted a BIG pumpkin, but the first one she found she could barely lift (see photo gallery for a pic of her "lifting" her pumpkin) so she settled on a smaller one that weighed in at 7 lbs.
Happy Fall! There are lots more pictures in the October Gallery--check it out!!

We just got home from a visit to Meema & Pap. Yesterday we went to Valley Falls State Park and it was SOO neat!!! The falls were beautiful, the leaves were changing color, the weather was FANTASTIC, there was a playground, and there was a TRAIN! (Kaydee and Abby LOVE trains.) LOTS of pictures in the October gallery.

I am a list person. Case in point--my current lists include: Grocery list, short-term to do list (send apples to school with Kaydee on Monday...), long term to-do list (finish scrapbooks, organize craftroom....), Christmas Card list, Christmas/Birthday gift list, Primary list, books to read list, food storage list, cleaning list....you get the idea.
It looks like Kaydee is also going to be a list person. She brought me this list---written and illustrated all on her own. I'm pretty impressed!!

There is nothing like living with your fan club. In my house I feel the love 24/7. Today Kaydee held my arm and kissed it during Stake Conference. She told me over and over how much she loves me and that I am the "best mom EV-VER!" Tonight Abby wanted to "toodle" (cuddle) with Mommy. We spent 30 minutes or more cuddled together under a blanket. Awww.....love. I hope they are this sweet in 10 years...... Children are truly the greatest blessing.
Me & my girls on my birthday:

Sorry for the unintentional hiatus! Some super stupid hacker got into our blog and mucked it up, causing a fatal error for everyone. But luckily Shane is super smart and after 8+ hours of clean-up the blog is back up and running. With new security & rules. Sorry, but from now on pictures posted to the front page (viewable to all) will only stay up for a week or so and then I'll add a hyperlink to take you directly to the picture. Still easy to see the pictures, but only available to people with passwords.
Kaydee had her first soccer game of the season last night---they played really well!! We have such an AWESOME team!! Most of them have played together for 2 years now, and they really pull together. We took pictures, but they're stil on the camera....when I get a chance I'll download some of Kaydee's super soccer moves.
Glad to be back---let me know if you have any problems with any links. ~Wendy
